I discovered Biko very randomly on instagram. I was pulled in by the fact that they're made locally with care and that the creative director puts a lot of thought into her designs and they're not just a copy of everything else that's out there. It took a while for me to really figure out what I wanted. It's definitely a little more than what I'm used to paying for online jewelry but when I got them I knew they were worth every penny. I have the most sensitive ears these days (developed recently) and everything I own makes me go crazy the second I put them on, my ears start aching and itching.
These earring were magical! I don't know if it's the gold plating (although the others I have claimed the same thing) but I wore them all day and didn't feel the urge to take them off at all! I've been wearing them out to everything, office when I have to go in, patio outings, casual dressy or more dressy. I just LOVE them. and they are SOOOO ridiculously light! I'm definitely getting the bigger size soon although this size is perfect for everything. The personalized package they came in, and the cute little soft pouch that comes with them is so perfect for me to carry around for travel (when that starts again).
